.We, the Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America #991, also, say THANK YOU for allowing us to be part of the Snowball Express.  We are truly honored!  I know everyone enjoyed meeting you all.  You are all such a great, fun, caring group!  The loving, caring attitude you share for each other and the kids is very, very obvious.  I know, cause I saw the smiles and hugs gave to all.  WHAT A GROUP OF KIDS!!!  They won our hearts forever!  We DID create memories for ourselves and, hopefully for the kids.  They are the reason for everything. We will never forget the stories from the mothers or the way they opened up and shared their heartbreaking stories with us.  I know some of us had to go behind a tree a time or two to regain our composure!  Even now as I write, there are tears, BUT the smiles are bigger than the tears.  I still see the little cowboy yahooing and swinging his make believe rope as he rode the big horse.  I still see the prettiest little girl in the world hugging her teddy bear, kissing it and asking if this was for her daddy, then running away to the bounce house.  I still see them waving from the train, smiling so big.  What a day!!!!  Can't wait till next year!  Thank you and the Snowball families so very much!!!  You can go to www.palestineherald.com and read the front page story on the event.
