As I reflect on Snowball Express IV in Texas, with fun and friendship at Southfork Ranch, The Mesquite Rodeo, the wonderful Dallas welcome from Mayor Leppert and walking with gratitude to honor our military heroes, it brings a sense of peace to me to watch how our volunteers and donors joined together for the purpose of bringing joy to our Snowball Families at this spiritual time of the year.
Faces made and making faces, jumping along with the Jumpitz, a very special message from The First Lady, enjoying our very own Autumn Letendre singing ,”Raise the Flag” then dancing the evening away with CTS Band, wow what fun. Then up for brunch at Eddie Deen’s and a police escort including the Patriot Guard and off we go to Cowboy Stadium for more fun, fantasyland and the Lt. Dan Band, with Gary Sinise. We all caught some stardust, as we headed home on American Airlines Snowball IV charters. May our friendship and caring carry our friends and families forward with comfort and the knowledge that Snowball Express will continue to be a haven for the children of our fallen military heroes.
Wishing you a peaceful, healthy and happy New Year. Looking forward to seeing y’all in 2010 at our Snowflake events,
Affectionately,
Micki Sander
Chairman
