Snowball Express is the charity for the children of our fallen military heroes
- What - Snowball Express sponsors a national event (SBE IV) and local "snowflake" events (visit the link on the homepage)
- When - SBE IV, Presented by American Airlines, will occur December 9-13 2009 in Dallas Texas
- What - Largest gathering of healing of its kind in the country. Children gather to meet other children just like themselves, all expenses paid
- Who - Children ages 5-18 years of age and a surviving parent or legal guardian (visit the FAQ to learn more). This is a time to meet and simply have "fun" with other children just like themselves. It is OK to smile and laugh, even if you have lost a fallen hero. Read the "thank you's" or watch the video to learn of the "magic" of Snowball Express
- Why - When the weeks and months pass and friends stop coming by to check on the family, these children must still pay the price of freedom forever. A child needs to see that a grateful nation still remembers and honors their fallen hero's sacrifice.
Memorials, wreath laying and long speeches are not memories a child wishes to endure again and yet that is how we honor our heroes...it is what adults do.
However, by attending Snowball Express a child sees that "service above self" is honored by others and is a value they should subscribe to as they continue to mature as adults. They also realize they can honor their fallen hero in other than "sad" ways and Snowball Express is able to give them a piece of their childhood back by allowing them to have "fun".
We as a blessed nation owe it to these children to do something special and nothing is as special as meeting someone who is just like yourself. Snowball Express does that with the help of thousands of volunteers, donors and sponsors.

Our Needs for 2009
- Copy and reproduce 5000 copies of 2009 SBE Promotional DVD - (if you can't do them all, let us know what you can donate)
- Donation of SBE T-shirts for families from corporations - Past donation has come from Calvert Company in CA (3 years in a row!). We hope a new sponsor will come in and help us with up to 2500 shirts for families - thanks to the Calvert Company for your help!
- Donation of SBE T-shirts for volunteers - Quiksilver has donated this in the past and again we are hoping for a new corporation to pitch in and help...thanks to Quiksilver!
- Motor Coach transportation in the Dallas area - will need 40-50 buses....limousine service is also needed....an oil company to donate the fuel for the buses!
None of this would happen without our generous donors and supporters!! Thanks to you all.
